2000 740iL Sport ??

Can anyone tell me what the difference is mechanically and in appearance between the usual 740iL and the Sport series? I can see the difference in carpet and dash but I'd like to know if there's more to it than that.

Also, does being a Sport effect resale?

I've never seen one until recently and would like to know a bit more before I go much further.

per the window sticker in my 2000 740I

The sport package includes ($2600 option)

stiffer suspension
18" M Parallel wheels
Higher stall torque converter
Black sport exterior trim
Steptronic automatic transmission
vavona redwood interior trim

as for resale...I can't imagine that it does not have a positive impact on resale

in my opinion it makes the car look better

Sport or Luxury?

Hello, Well, usually in my opinion the sport package is going to be a little hotter resale...But there are plenty of folks out there with plenty of $$ who want the cush ride of the standard luxury sedan.

What are you into an enthusiast sporty little harsher but nice road feel or a more cush style? What you are into should clinch it...

I just bought a 2001 740i sport and it's sweet!
