Am adding 2 Audison VRx amps and changing all my speakers out for Focals.
Problem being is the DSP system that is currently in the car. Does anyone know if i take the low level off the headunit that the CD changer and the GPS will also play thru . Someone has to of upgraded there system without using convertors off the AMP. Plus i do not like the crossover points that the factory AMP has.

Thanks in Advaance on any info you have on this, have searched around on E38.org and the web.

Just for a heads up for the next person to do this. Yes the Tuner/peramp in the trunk will change from a consistant output to a veriable output once you remove the DSP amp. You need to take some of the connectors from the AMP plug and put them into the Tuner/Preamp to get all 4 channels out of the unit to put to your own amp.

NTB...I am surporised you didn't get any suggestions...anyway, can you please clarify what you mean about the "amp" plug revisions. I think that down the road some I would like to upgrade my system too. However, I want to do the NAV upgrade and the sirius or XM upgrade first. That might change things a bit as far as what your referring to?

ProTour.

Been working on a write up on how to remove the DSP amp and what wiring has to be done.

You can check here.

This should help you out in what you are looking at doing.

And for the AMP wiring revision, the stock wiring harness does not have plugs or wires for the rear channels off the tuner/preamp, and seeing that the plugs are the same size as the plugs going into the DSP amp and you will not be using this amp anymore, I suggest that you cut part of the stock wiring harness that goes into the stock amp and use them to connect to the tuner/preamp. if you do not go this way you can solder onto the back of the board (Much Harder).

Some more good info on it.
