Just picked up a CPO black on tan 03 745i in mint condition - absolutely love it. I have a couple of questions that I can't seem to get any answers on.
I. I have the CD based Nav, I think the 04's came out with the DVD based one. I would like to upgrade mine to the DVD-ROM and I was hoping if it is just a matter of switching out the drives? I've seen some on ebay but I don't want to buy if its not going to work. Anyone have any experience with this?? Can't seem to find any info on the net about it either.
II. In my center console its got the plug and wires to connect to the phone. I don't have the one that came with it. My boss had the same car and his was one of the silver startacs - I used to have a startac like 10 phones ago and 3 service providers and I know that even the new 05 7's have an old school V60 as the BMW phone but the new ones have bluetooth (boss traded his in for a 2005). Is it possible to change the plug to work with another phone or even to another MOT phone as it seems they have some sort of agreement with BMW? I've got an old V600 that I'm not using that would be perfect if i could get it to work.
Any help would be appreciated - thanks
*** also - does it irk anyone else when people call your car "a quarter to eight"?
I've had a bunch of people call her that and it just seems to bug me.
