I am a new proud owner of a 2001 740i Sport. I have 7k left on the basic bumper to bumper warranty and then I get the CPO 100k warranty.
I am taking it to my local BMW dealer for interval service next week at the service indicator is one notch before yellow. What do you recommend that I should have done at 43k besides crankcase oil change? I asked the dealer to do a tranny fluid service, but they gave me that lifetime fluid statement, which I am leary of in any car, espeacily at 43k. Should I do the trans fluid and filter? I am just learning about these cars and I cut my teeth on American small and big block V8's, so I am feeling me way around on this car.
I also want to do a 4 wheel alignment as the tires are new.
I appreciate any tips the listers can give me.
