I just picked up a 1992 735il and it was working fine. All of a sudden the battery keeps dieing on me. The lights and radio are off. Do you know any other things that could be draining the battery?

To save money I would first have the battery load tested. If it passes that test than I would have my chraging system checked. Another approach is to use a multi meter and see how much draw there is on the battery with the car and all accessories off. Off the top of myu head I have no idea what is acceptable for that car.

Problem solved!!!

It turns out that the guy I just bought the car from had a battery that was too small. It only had 690 Cold Cranking Amps, but the car needs 805. Thanks for your help.
