click for smilies..loose text

I have noticed on a number of occasions when posting a reply and writing a response, that if I click on the "get smilies" button, I loose all the text I just entered. The smilies I chose are in the reply box but the text has gone. Whasup wid dat?

when you click the get smiles button, does it open in the same window, or a new, small one?

What internet browser are you using and what version?

Is all the text replaced by the smile selected?

How do you close the window, with the link provided?

hehe, i dont know about interesting - if you were to say something in response to my questions as being peculiar, i might have said, then dont do that. it seems to be a glitch in your version of windows or IE. i am using 6.0 as well, with no trouble, but i would go to M$ update to see if there might be a patch of any kind. other wise, just remember that it could happen, and copy your text.
do you have any pop up blocker software? if so, that might be the cause, good luck.

pop up controlls//thats the culprit, but worth it avoid all the crap. thanks for the help
