My car was driving fine before it shut down. First the lights dimmed, and then the computer said the ASC system failure, then the radio, Finally the engine. I thought it seemed like an alternator. Which it might be. But when I try charging my battery and keep the charger on , the car will only run for about 30 seconds and it shuts down. I am not sure if it is the alternator since I thought the system would run a little longer with the charger running. Or does this car depend so much on the battery that the battery is so bad it will not run. I am going to check for voltage to battery next, but wondering if someone has had the same problem and might know its fix
