I like it! I think it's cool. I have to say that if I was in the market for a new family sedan and had the money, I'd look long and hard at the VW's. Very nicely styled cars.

I am a big critic for change and always have an opinion, many times negative.
Ive always been behind VW because i like their designing mentality.

But this time, they have hit the nail on the head. I love it.
It has uniform lines and meaning to its shape. The trim gives it class and sophistication while the valence shows power. The big wheels look good too.
Ultimately, its simple yet refined.

Congrats.

yeah, many simularities about this and other cars, but i dont htink you could go as far as to say its a rip on the 5.
look at all the other car companies cars, they all look a like. besides, this is more closely the look that VW has had for the past 3 years.
its just cleaner (more rounded) with better lines (than bangle's designs even).

i doubt it would be possible to rip anything at all. considering that it takes 3-5 years, and rather 5 than 3, to develop a car, VW did not even have the chance to copy the 5er. when did the first piucturesome out? 1 1/2 years ago, if ever. that would mean they had about 1 1/2 years maximum to restyle the car, get the costbreaks, get the supppliers to develop everything....they were styled and developed at the same time. i guess it is just the new way to style cars then.
furthermore, follwoing the designline of VW and the passat over the last models, it is pretty much in line what theybring up here. it follows their trend.

Overall styling looks good. i'm not thrilled about the tail lights though, but the roofline looks good. I wonder what price range it is.

I do not think VW copied the 5. VW still holds the same basic design IMO. But I do question if BMW has copied others. When looking at the design changes, I think BMW is doing the following, and perhaps following the wrong makers. [8)]

That chrome grill has got to go![thumbd]

Other than that I love it. I really like VW's. Hell, it was torture trading in my JettaVR6 for my bimmer, but I think it's for the best.[fake]

WOW, I am really surprised that VW came out with the Passat looking like that! I am extremely impressed. What is the price range? I hope it is like the current one? Looks expensive though! Yeah I think VW is moving in the same direction that Audi is already in! They are trying to become this luxury car company, I do not think it is going to fly well! A VW is a VW....I do like the new suv though, however you spell it Toureag!!!
