I gave my car a bath today, and I took some pictures. I figured you guys and gals might like to see them. Let me know what ya think. I created a site on cardomain for the pics (http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/449692), but I've also included them here.


















She's by no means perfect, but she's in great shape for having 230,000 miles (the odometer only shows 221,000 because it broke when the previous owner had it, and he didn't fix it right away), and I think it's a nice car for only $1,500. It runs like it's brand new, and it's a blast to drive! [thumb]

Try eBay...

...seriously, just type BMW E30 in your search and you're bound to find tons of them. Only this is they're usually $300-400 for both. I've been eyeing the black ones for months now. Still saving for them. Haha...[thumb]

anyway i do like those fogs, it looks like he pulled the oem ones and mounted
aftermarket ones farther back in the oem holes correcT?

Looks great, the car was taken care of.....
but i have to question if it were in a wreck, by the looks of the paint job in the pics, thats not its original paint. not to mention its missing the pin stripes going down the side. if you look at the reflection on the hood, its dented up and looks bondo'd. also, the engine bay is really clean (as it should be anyhow), but i mean it looks to be a new radiator and parts. do you see any overspray anywhere?
Just thought id ask to see if you inquired about it before purchase.

Well, thanks for the compliments on the car.

Yeah, the foglights are cheapy aftermarket ones that are mounted in the fake, non-functional holes where BMW should have hooked up brake cooling ducts. I don't really like the huge original bumper-mounted lights. I think it looks much cleaner this way.

xLibelle, I think the car may have been in a very minor fender bender at some point. There are a few small dents in the hood, but there isn't any bondo anywhere on the hood. All of the body panels have the original matching VIN stickers on them. There is no frame damage or evidence of past frame welding or repairs. The car has been repainted, and it isn't the best of paint jobs. There isn't any overspray anywhere though. The engine compartment is very clean. It has the original engine in it - the VIN on the engine matches that of the car. Yes, it has a new radiator - it was replaced the last time the timing belt was replaced, not because it was wrecked - I have the invoice to prove it. The car has a lot of new parts on it, so the engine compartment looks new - hell, the thing's got 230,000 miles on it. Parts don't last forever. I have all of the records since it was practically new. Almost all of the service was performed at the BMW dealer and so all parts on the car are original BMW parts.

The car isn't perfect, but it's a nice car that I could actually afford. Plus, it got me into the BMW ownership circle. So far, it's been a reliable, economical car to drive, which is what I bought it for. It's also a lot of fun to drive - I look forward to the drive to school every day.

whoa, good to know what the history is on a car and glad you know.
i was stating the not-so-obvious from the pics ;)
funny how everything i mentioned, you had an answer for, heheh
