Regarding a 1990 750 iL.... the one with the leaking steering box..... there is about 3/16" of play of the pitman arm on the steering box shaft.... what I mean by this is .... I can "wiggle" the front tires and the pitman arm slides up and down on the steering box shaft....it moves about 3/16" along the shaft...
What does this mean ? Will all be resolved when and if I replace the steering box ?
Does the pitman arm bolt to the shaft and should not slip at all ?
