rear electric shades?

i've found the 2001 740il of my dreams...it has everything except electric rear shades....anybody out there know of any aftermarket shades? would it be cost prohibitive to have a dealer install them?

any ideas?

I believe it would be rather expensive, it can't hurt to call them and ask.

If it's any consolation, my dad's E38 has the rear shades and we have never used them. You're probably better off spending the money on something else, unless of course you really want the shades...

?? I thought it became a standard by then? It was an option on the 97 with the premium or comfort package.

Yes, you can add the rear window shade at a reasonable cost. I did it myself and you can read the DIY steps on my Cardomain webpage linked below
