Roof lining comming down.

I have a 1989 735I. I notice the roof lining is comming down in the back just by the rear glass. What is best thing to do. Any one who might have had the same problem.Thanks.

I guess no one have had this problem.For those intrested. You have to take the headliner down,and have the material changed.You can try to have it reattached with adhesive,but it was recomended that I have it redone.By the way I tried getting the headliner from BMW,It was going to cost me $402.00 But they could not get it,I guess because of the year of the car.Material and labour cost me $208.00 and it looks real good. Thanks all.

I have the same problem. The headliner started at the rear window and made it all the way to the sun roof. I didn't have to replace the material but did have to replace the padding and new glue. I was told that the glue would not stick to the old padding.

You are right Markca,you can do it your way,but the person doing mine recomended that I change the material as some times the glue shows up through the material.The material I got was a little off, but I am very happy with the job that was done.Seems to be a common problem with the 7 series in our age group.
