SIRIUS satelite redio in 01 740i SPORT

Hi guys,
I just got 2001 BMW 740i SPORT with the big screen navigation and would like to install satelite radio (like I had in my previous car) however all car radio shops are really afraid to mess with BMW complicated desh board. Is wireless or casett conection any good?

not sure if this is any help... but i just saw an 01 740il with an XM radio antenna on the roof. I dont know who installed it and how, but it seems to be possible.
