From what I've heard, the 750iL is some kind of deathtrap (money wise)... is this really true? I really want like a 1989 or 1990, but so many people I know have said that it would eat me alive (financially). Can anyone tell me if this is true or not, and what model I should be looking for? I don't have alot of money to spend, but from what I've seen my price range could afford something made between 1988 and 1991... Thanks for you help!

I have a 91 750iL and love it. There are things about the car to be aware of that can be expensive if repairs are needed. The DK motors are about $800 apiece if they fail (I have not had this problem). The car takes two caps and rotors, caps are about $45 each, rotors $35 each. The plug wire set runs around $600. should you need one. I have had m ine for about a year and really enjoy the car.
