Water valve noise?

I have a 2001 740i. There is a noise that cycles when the heat is on - the dealer told me it is noisy water valves located near the firewall that is why I hear it. He says that they are just noisy and that all you can do is replace them if it bothers you, but there is no reason for concern. Does anyone know of any other ideas? The noise is not present if you turn the climate control "off" by lowering the temps to 60.

I would tell my dealer it is unsatisfactory and I want the noise stopped. This should be warranty and covered.

Problem is I am out of warrantee.

I assume then that you have 50k plus miles on her? I would still complain and maybe contact BMW NA, as you are still under by two years.
