It all depends on how they are wearing, climate, etc. I have the originals on my 98 M roadster, that's 8 years and 50k. They look fine, no cracks, rips, or tears. If the belt starts squeeking (dry), or fraying replace it. If I were getting ready for a long trip I may replace them, but I have had belts last up to 100k. Hot dry climate may last less.

I had my belts changed this week for the first time.
I drive a 1995 3.0 M3 with 103k on it.

The climate in Oklahoma gets up to 100°F in the hottest part of the summer and down in the 30°'s in the winter.

If you have the money better safe than sorry.

Shouldn't you be close to getting your Inspection?

The mechanic should have a look at them at that time.
