I recently purchased a 2003 X5 3.0i for my wife. The car only has 12K on it and was well kept by the first owner. It looks almost like a brand-new car. [wiggle]

The only complain that I had with the X5 was the "leaking" wind noise when I drove it over 65 mph. Today I took my car to a BMW dealer to have it examine. According to the BMW technician, the wind noise came from inproper seal around the windshield. It removed the trim around the windshield and examine the seal and determined that the original seal was broken and resealed. As a result, the BMW service center would not repair it under warranty because it claimed that the windshield was resealed by a 3rd party. According to the original owner, the X5 has the factory windshield, and he never replaced the windshield. I was pretty disappointed, and did not know how to dispute BMW service center's claim.

Lucky for me, the wind noise was "magically" fixed after the BMW service center put back the windshield trim. [cheers]
