err, I dunno where anyone tossed in anything about being bitter? I'm not bitter, I think it's more like the folks doing it are *showing their a$$*, or showing off, being insecure, being their age (sic), or whatnot. Either way, no hard feelings intended, it wouldn't be called a forum without all sorts of thoughts and ideas being tossed around, no matter if everyone agrees or not.

i threw in "bitter" and was scolded politely because i used the word "we" when i should have said "i." I'm not embarrased or ashamed of holding those who need not work for nice things in lower regard. I suppose it's common practice to hold the wealthier in higher regard, but being around the wealthy so often has taught me that they are most certainly no different when you get right down to it. Sometimes i consider the possibility that I may merely be jealous. But I've concluded at last, that I'm not jealous - I just hold a bias. Like section_8 said, it wouldn't be a forum without multiple ideas and thoughts. Sorry to offend; perhaps I shouldn't share so readily...

I bought my first car, and paid for the insurance all on my own! Granted it was a 72 Vega, GT I'll have you know, 2.4 inline 4-cyl, air cooled TH350 tranny, it was the SH#T! I think insurance cost my about $5 a year or something like that.

Anyway, the real reason I wanted to reply is this, I don't care! What does it matter if some rich spoiled brat (not speaking of anybody specifically) gets a nice car, that most of us can't afford, and flaunts it? I don't know him, don't want to. Sure, it's easy to be jealous, but complaining about it doesn't make you any better than him (or her I guess).

Wow, after reading the upper part of my post, sounds like I'm complaining. Sorry, I just don't see how a post about this subject can go on for so long. This forum is here so we can all share our opinions, so there is mine. I know your all just sharing yours, but why is this subject so important?
