I am a new member and a newowmer of a 94 BMW 5 Series looking for help on seatback recline and raise "RHW" gear boxes.
I have disassembled both driver and passenger seat and have found all 4 gear boxes have stripped plastic drive gears for raising and lower the seat and reclining the seatbacks.
The RHW gearboxes are p/n 56-276 and 56-275, has anyone found a source to buy just the plastic gears as the gear box assemblies range form $170.00 to $200.00 each at the dealer. The plastic gears are white and light gear in color. I have replace all worn drive cables and repaired the head rest drive cables. All functions now will work but gears will slip in one spot under load.
Does anyone know where the manufacture "RHW" is located?
