e32 735i euro model

I have a euro 1990 735i. My engine is leaking a tiny bit of oil (valve cover, oil pan, and timing cover) I took the car to Desimone BMW and they would not worK on the car. The most they would do is change my brake light circuit switch. How diffrent is the wiring on my car in comparison to the US model? They pretty much told me "your engine has 191k on it, get a new engine" Now correct me if I'm being stupid here, but I've seen M30's with well over 400k on them running strong. I had a 750 I ran to 550K with out having to rebuild a thing. Or was I just lucky? The bottom line is; my compression is cool on my current motor, it just leaks a bit of oil. It does not leave puddles but it do drip a little bit. Any thoughts? P.S The electrical question has no coralation to the electrical comment. It was a random thought, Desimone just really pissed me off. Who the hell keeps someones car for 1 week to only report that they wont work on it because it a euro model and 191k. I honestly think their just lazy.

I have an E32 730i with similar milage to your 735. The engine is as good as the day it left the factory,uses no oil between services, and I expect it will run 400k before needing an engine rebuild. I have rebuilt several M10 2 litre engines that had at least 275k on them.I recommend you find an independent mechanic ,who specialises in BMW, to repair your oil leaks,and forget about the dealer who finds it hard to think that your car is still mechanically the same as other E32s with a M30 engine.

Some BMW dealers refuse to work on older high mileage vehicles because they are arrogrant. I agree, find an independent BMW shop and bless them with your business. By the way, Welcome to the board!
