Hi Guys (& Gals) ...
My first post so be gentle with me![Big Cry [bigcry] [bigcry]](/images/smilies/icon_smile_bigcry.gif)
I have a 2000 E39 and after a year of putting up with the factory fitted ICE I recently changed the HU (Alpine) and although that made a significant improvement I have just added a 12" sub (JL) & amp (Magnat mono) which are in the boot (trunk for you non colonial types!)
I have had a number of different bits of advice about fine tuning the system - my E39 does not have a ski hatch (or removable plate to use the ski hatch) which is usually considered a good way of letting more bass into the cabin form the sub - one ICE dealer suggested I remove the rear speakers from the parcel shelf as this would allow more bass through and the rear speakers are rubbish! I must admit the way I have the system set up I dont really hear the rears but wonder if removing them will have a beneficial effect?
This seems like a nice friendly forum & I look forward to hearing from you ... Paul![Wink [;)] [;)]](/images/smilies/wink.png)
