How fast,how much fuel????

Hi guys, newbie here.

I own a 98 728i had for about 6 months now and had no problems untill today! My dash board has stopped working along with the trip computer!! It gves no indication of speed, revs, fuel, clock, temp, the trip computer doesnt work on the dash or the main unit.

Any help or indications as to what the problems maybe would be greatly appreciated.

P.S I've checked all the fuses and they're fine

Sounds like an SI Board issue. I have not heard of that problem, but then again I have an e32. Have you tried a google search for you model and checked some of those web sites?

By the way, welcome. I am sure some here will have the answer, but in the mean time I'd try a search.

Did you mean an 88 728? I can not find a reference to a 98 728. Regardless try this link, it has great information on all models and even has links to common failures:
